Access Permissions

Clicking the Settings icon in the lower left sidebar of the Tag Manager dashboard takes you to the Settings Overview where you can then click the Permissions tab to set permissions. This feature enables you to manage Identity and Access (IAM). From this page you can review existing roles and create new ones.

Add Role

By clicking Add Role a sidebar opens creating a series of fields for naming a new role and establishing its permissions. The permission options are very comprehensive even specifying exactly what tagged resources the user can access.

If you click an existing role, that role’s permissions open in a sidebar allowing you to modify the permissions held by the role.

IAM tags and permissions strengthen security and close security gaps in your cloud infrastructure. The principle of least privilege, where users’ access rights are limited to what they need to perform their job, is a highly effective security practice that is executed in Tag Manager’s permission console.
