AI + Cloud Savings Assessment

What This Is

The Cloudsaver AI + Cloud Savings Assessment is a no-cost, time-bound assessment of your cloud and AI spend. We connect to your billing and usage data through read-only roles and return a written report that quantifies your savings opportunities — and, if you grant the right level of access, adds AI behavior metrics that explain how AI is being used across your organization.

Three things to know up front:

  • All access is read-only. We do not modify resources, change configurations, or alter user or seat assignments during the assessment.
  • You choose the depth of the AI assessment. Tier 1 shows the financial and adoption picture. Tier 2 adds prompt-level data correlation — categorizing what people are actually doing with AI. Tier 2 is opt-in.
  • Revoke at any time. You retain full control of every role, policy, and consent. Access can be removed in a single step.

What We Analyze

Cloud Savings

Rate Optimization. How you're paying for cloud — commitment portfolio, coverage rates, 30-day commitment opportunities, over-commitment waste, and where 1-year/3-year commitments make sense.

Usage Optimization. The resources themselves — rightsizing recommendations, idle and orphaned resources, tagging health, and unaccounted-for spend.

AI Costs and Usage

Who is using what, seat utilization vs. contracted, where to cut or add licenses, spend by team/user/model, API vs. seat-based breakdown, anomaly detection, and a cross-platform AI inventory across supported providers.

Two Access Tiers

You choose how much you share. Most customers begin at Tier 1.

Tier 1 — Cost and Usage: Billing data, usage volumes, seat assignments, model selections, request and token counts. No prompt or response content.

Tier 2 — Behavioral (includes Tier 1):Adds prompt-level data correlation — categorizing usage by topic, intent, and use case, correlated to individuals. Requires explicit second approval. Right for organizations that want to answer “are we getting value from AI?” not just “how much are we spending?”

Process and Timeline

  • Tier 1: approximately 14 calendar days from connection to written report delivery.
  • Tier 2: approximately 30 calendar days, accounting for prompt categorization and pattern analysis.
  • Connection meeting: one 60-minute call. Each platform connection takes 15–30 minutes. Can be split across sessions or completed offline.
  • Findings readout: one 60-minute call after report delivery to walk through findings, projected savings, and recommended next steps with your team.

Data flow: Read-only credentials grant scoped access to billing, usage, and (at Tier 2) logging data. Data is processed within Cloudsaver-managed infrastructure in the United States, used solely to produce your assessment, and is not retained after delivery.

Security and Data Handling

  • Compliance: SOC 2 Type II compliant. DPA and sub-processor list available on request.
  • Encryption: All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.
  • Access controls: Customer data access restricted to analysis team, gated by SSO and MFA, and logged.
  • Storage: Analysis performed within Cloudsaver-managed infrastructure in the United States.
  • Retention: Raw customer data is not retained after the engagement concludes.
  • Data use: Customer data is never shared, resold, or used to train any models.
  • Prompt privacy: For Tier 2 behavioral analysis, prompts are categorized programmatically. Cloudsaver personnel do not read individual prompts or conversation content.
  • Revocation: All access can be revoked at any time by removing the IAM role, App Registration, deployment, or API key.

What You Get Back

A written assessment delivered approximately two weeks after connection:

  • Executive summary — total identified savings, key risks, prioritized recommendations
  • Cloud savings findings — rate optimization and usage optimization with quantified annual savings
  • AI cost and usage findings — seat utilization, spend rankings, anomaly events, license recommendations, cross-platform inventory
  • (Tier 2 only) Behavioral findings — categorized prompt analysis, use-case patterns, governance recommendations

What Comes After

The Savings Assessment is a point-in-time assessment. There is no obligation tied to the assessment.

For cloud savings:customers can engage Cloudsaver's platform and services to execute on recommendations. Separate, opt-in conversation after report delivery.

For AI: customers can become design partners for Cloudsaver's AI Adoption Intelligence platform — free access during pre-GA, preferred pricing at GA.
